QUICK and HEALTHY meals so easy

I've never been a bandwagon type of person.  I'm loyal to my sports teams no matter how bad they are, and believe me they are BAD.  However, over the last year or so I kept hearing the hype of how wonderful the new pressure cookers are amazing.  The world was all a twitter (no not the site) over the InstaPot.  Honestly, I kept thinking why oh why would I need another appliance in my kitchen.

Flash forward to August and the pre-release of the Pampered Chef Quick Cooker.  As a independent consultant for the Pampered Chef I thought well, if they think it is great I should probably finally jump on the pressure cooker bandwagon.  I NEVER LOOKED BACK!

When I say I love this thing, I don't even think that it expresses how much I love this thing.  I have the ability to totally forget to take out food for dinner AND still deliver a healthy dinner very quickly to my family.  I have used the Quick Cooker almost every day since I received it. The very first food we made with it was beans. Normally dried beans need to be soaked for 24 hours and then cooked low and slow for HOURS and HOURS.  Not anymore!  We made pinto and navy beans in like 15 minutes and kidney beans in 25 minutes.  My husband was sold instantly.  He loves bean, all type of beans and now he can have them whenever he wants AND we save money by buying dry beans.

Since then we have made ribs, chicken (a lot of chicken), veggies, steal cut oats, carnitas and soon to make a cheese cake.  Everything we have made with the Quick Cooker has been eaten without any complaints. In fact, my very picky Dad has mentioned how much he likes how the veggies come out and how juicy the chicken is.

Most nights my mom cooks for the whole family, being retired she has time to plan stuff, however some nights the kids are so busy she just makes easy, quick, not that healthy meals like chicken nuggets or hot dogs.  Now, the options for dinner are endless.  In fact, yesterday I stuck a chicken breast into the Quick Cooker in the morning while we went along with our very busy morning routine and in 8 minutes I had a delicious chicken breast for my lunch salad.

I could go on and on about this appliance, yes it is an investment, but the time and money it has saved us in one month is remarkable.  We've been able to stay out of the drive thru lanes and our tummies have thanked us.  We are so excited to see what we can make next.
