30 Days of Thankfulness...

Day 1- Thankful that my Sister is no longer pain and will always be young and beautiful.

Day 2- Thankful for the family God has given me.

Day 3 - Thankful for growing up knowing all my grandparents and great grandparents

Day 4 - Thankful for my health.

Day 5: Thankful that Sergej and Matthew have each other again and in the USA. Stacy would be so happy.

Day 6 - Thankful that though it may not be the greatest job on Earth, that I still have a job to go back to today.

Day 7 - refer to day 6. Many long time employees just got let go. :-(

Day 8: I am thankful for ALL my wonderful friends who have been with me in these last 6 months (and over my lifetime). I could not have have a better group of friends - even if FB is our only place to talk these days. I LOVE YOU ALL! And those are not just words.

Special shout outs to Erika - Denali Frederick - Thank you for letting me lean on you all the time, everyday and just letting me be me. Jennifer Stark Falkner - Thanks for letting me release stress with your crazy redheaded kids and for all the clothing for the girls. Text voice messages, pics everything! Hazmat ( Eren Rosenfeld)- thanks for watching Nacho and for just being you. Always texting at the right time, with the right words. Linda Carlin - Thanks for your emails, text and FB message they keep me going. T Teena Joyce Rael - Thanks for being the deliver of the bad news. I just could not have done it.

Day 9: I am thankful that I have common sense, manners, respect for elders and those who can't do for themselves, a heart and the ability to know right from wrong (most of the time lol)

Day 10: Thankful my mom is coming home today. Thankful my sister will be here next weekend. Thankful we can all be together as a family.

Day 11: Very thankful that a year ago today I was able to celebrate the day with 50+ of my closest family at my house for our 11:11:11 party. Can't wait to do it again. Also thankful all the Veteran present and past. Oh and happy Founders Day GPB Sisters.

Day 12: Thankful that even though I feel that my life is hard at times, the reality is I that my life is nothing compared to the hell people in other countries have to go through. Or the challenges our military men/women and their families go through by choice to give me the freedoms I take for granted. Or of the countless men/women and children that have NOTHING and don't even know where their next meal will come from. Thanks for the challenges, pain and heart breaks of my life God, I know it could be worse.

HI Stacy! Hope Heaven is treating you well.  We sure miss you here on earth.  I am sure you are watching us daily, but just in case you are missing the finer details let me fill you in on your kids.  They, just like me, miss you.  We all wish that tomorrow was a day of celebration not a day of remembrance.  But I guess we should celebrate that you are not in pain anymore and that all three of yours children are being well taken care of. Hey did you hear that I am FINALLY getting married?  You would totally like the guy.  He's so great.  He's a big goofball like me but very loyal, caring and helpful.  He treats us all with respect and has only the best intentions when it comes to the kids.  We will rock this parenting thing together.  These kids will have an additional person to fill them up with love. Because you need me

Today one of my loyal readers told me that he really needs me to update my blog more often.  He was tired of reading that I am "yellow" and he said that he sees me more as a "Peach".  LOL  I said I don't and probably will never own anything peach, come to think of it I don't even own anything yellow. So here are a few things that crossed my mind today. This morning when I got dressed in my room, I really thought my outfit matched.  Then after further consideration and better light at work I decided that I did not match at all. :-) I used to think that getting my nails done was a waste of money, but I really want to go get pedicure. I wish those belly belts that say they will tone your tummy actually worked, I'd wear it daily. If Nacho was a baby, I think he would never learn how to walk because I love him so much I'd carry him everywhere...but since he's a cat he'd scratch my eyes out if I tried. I miss fried foods. Missing you

Today was the first big event in Alyssa's life and I never thought it would be as hard as it was.  As I stood there alone waiting for the auditorium doors to open, tears just stared streaming down my face.  I couldn't stop thinking about Stacy.  How unfair it was that she wasn't there for this.  This spiraled into my mind going to all the things she will miss...5th grade promotion, 8th grade graduation, High School, 1st dances, Proms, college, weddings everything that a lil girl wants her mom for.  It's just not fair, but I am beyond honored to step in.   There are days when I look at her and she is totally me.  Days she is totally Stacy.  I used to always say God will give me a lil girl and she is going to be so girly I won't even know how to relate.  She'll love pink, dolls and glitter, but I would make her love sports.  Well he did just that.  She is the best and some of ther worst of both of us.  The ways we come out of this beautiful little girl is amazing.
