MTV...why is anyone surprised?

Today I have seen so many posts about the VMA awards and most of all about Miley Cyrus.  What I don't understand is why are people so amazed?  With all the music performer these days all trying to make themselves noticed, this was just another desperate plea for attention.   The more and more we (myself included) blog, tweet, Facebook about the "show" she put on, we just make her think what she did was great and she'll and others will do it more.  No I did not watch the awards. 

I personally found it to be a pretty sad and low point for her.  If I was her mom, I'd be so embarrassed at the crotch grabbing, tongue sticking, ass grinding, erotic show she put on.  Not because I am a prude or because I don't think that there is a place for this type of show, but because she was my kid and had a nice/clean career and fell into this. Innocence, I guess, can only sell if you're a good singer.  Oh by the way this is called Twerking...a new word I just learned.  

Yes I realize that there are some of my friends and probably family don't agree with me but hey how fun would life be if we agreed on everything.  Prime time TV used to be so innocent and now you just have to DVR everything because you just never know what your family will see or hear. Ok so maybe I am an over protective mom..but I don't think kids should be exposed to crap like that.  Yes, I can't protect her from everything, nor would I try...but IF I can stop her from seeing two people grinding smacking ass and rubbing their parts on National TV I WILL.

p.s. *NSYNC -Justin and Lance way to go...Chris, JC and Joey (yes I had to look the names up) just looked like old men trying to relive the past.  Like when schools call back cheerleaders to celebrate and perform and the try real hard but you can still tell they are like 40. :-) YES I am one of those too. Lol

Because you need me

Today one of my loyal readers told me that he really needs me to update my blog more often.  He was tired of reading that I am "yellow" and he said that he sees me more as a "Peach".  LOL  I said I don't and probably will never own anything peach, come to think of it I don't even own anything yellow. So here are a few things that crossed my mind today. This morning when I got dressed in my room, I really thought my outfit matched.  Then after further consideration and better light at work I decided that I did not match at all. :-) I used to think that getting my nails done was a waste of money, but I really want to go get pedicure. I wish those belly belts that say they will tone your tummy actually worked, I'd wear it daily. A trip and a 5k a month?

Can it be done? Of course it can...I already know I can run a 5k so I just have to get off my butt and do it. As for the travel well January and February are booked. April, June, July and August are close behind. So 6 out of 12 is not too shabby for it only being January 9th - half way there. So where should I go? Any suggestion?
