Week one of dating
SERIOUSLY???? Who in the heck do these men think they are? I mean you must be single for a reason! Not all women are exactly a like and just because someone did or said something to you doesn't mean we are all the same. Come on! You can sit there and say I am not like other men...but if I use your rational I should just say oh your're one of those guys each time you say or do something someone I dated once did.
My advice to those who will listen (not many):
1. No one is perfect and neither are you. There is no reason in the entire world that you should be anyone you are not. Be real. Let the other person be real. Don't be judgemental.
2. Yes, there are many people in this world that are fake or post pics that look nothing like them. If you've met one of these people of course you'd be skeptical to meet anyone else. But then what is your choice...be alone for the rest of your life? Not everyone is going to screw you over....open up to the chance of happiness without all the games.
3. My next advice is READ THE PROFILES. Why would you contact a person who says they are looking for long term relationship/marriage if you are looking for just causal fun and other things? Why contact someone with kids if you don't want them? If I am Christian and you are Jewish, do you really think your mom would want you to bring me home?
4. DO NOT post pictures of yourself taking a picture of yourself in a mirror. It not only looks lame, but like you have absolutely no friends or family that could take a pic for you and that is sad.
5. Leave somethings to the imagination. I don't need to see your rock hard abs or the gun show plastered all over your page. If I end up with you I'll have to always wonder who else has these pics or worse pics. If you are so proud of yourself for your big muscles, then maybe balance it with a pic of you looking like you have an actual job too.
6. Don't mention sex in your first conversation, it isn't a turn on.
7. Don't say you are divorced unless you have the signed papers, because well you are not.
8. Don't say I am actually 45 but the site won't let me change my age so that is why it says 36. We all know that means you're one of those guys that wants to date teenagers. You are not fooling anyone.
9. Flattery will get you far, but honesty will get your everywhere.
10. Lastly, If it sounds and looks too good to be true IT IS. Take your time to sort through the rubble and find that gem. She'll be the one that post real everyday pics, that shows she is perfectly happy with who she is and what she has to offer you.
Stay tuned for screw the dating sites, I'll advertise for myself on my blog. Lol
Terri, read this for a good laugh and even more proof that men don't care WHAT a profile says - they just dive right in and hope it works. Who knows why?
