Dear Friend, Did you know that there isn’t a day that goes by that I don’t think of you?  We may text and talk sporadically and only see each from time to time, but you are here in my life so much. The Dress

 Over the last few months I have worked almost nightly on making my wedding dress.  I did this so that I could get married  a dress prayed  over, made with love and that included just a bit of those we've lost over the years.  It seemed to me that I could not get married without my little sister and grandparents there.  So I came up with this great way to include them. My Grandma Perkins loved silk pajamas.  I am pretty sure she wore them daily.  When she passed away in 2007, many of us asked for a pair of her Pjs.  I have kept mine with me since then.  When I was thinking about the best way to include her in my wedding dress (apart from using her sewing machine) I decided that I would line the bodice of the dress with her Pjs.  It was hard at first, but then a feeling of love came over me.  It was so great to have her so close to me on that special day. Stranded

Will it is 7:00 pm on a Thursday night and I am stuck at work doing someone else's job. Damn the salary or I would ranking in some dough, but nope. Back story in case you are new to my blog, I have been riding the train in some form or the other to and from work for over 3 years now (check out - http://mytaleoftherail.blogspot.com/ for old stories). I have made it my strict rule not to ride the train alone after 7:30 pm due to the nature of some of the riders and that I travel through some rather non friendly environments. With that said it is already 7:07pm and we are not even finished yet. So I asked my mom to come pick me up and she said she'd rather stay at home with my older sister. CAN YOU BELIEVE THAT? OK her actual text through my sister was "She does not like one way streets." How sad is that, her utter dislike for one way streets has trumped her love for her middle child. WAIT!!!!!!!!!
