Blessings - My Family!
Daily just like everyone else I have my issues and problem, but I am trying not to dwell on them. Leaving my worries to God. So instead of siting here worrying or writing about the crap in my life, I will write positive stuff.
While I was on vacation, I was reading through a book called "21 minutes a day for 21 days - A daily journal of faith" and there were some great exercises in the books. On one of the days you were to write down your blessings and I simply wrote "My Family." As they days passed by I went back to my completed list and decided that I needed to elaborate on each group of blessings. I did this and I thought I would publicly tell you all about how much God has and continues to bless my through my family. (Wow I've used a lot a quote marks in the post already)
My Family and why they just rock, inspire me and bless me daily.
My Parents - raise us 3 very well. Even while they were apart for those years, they still made sure we all knew how loved we were. Then after many years of divorce they found their way back to each other and they continue to show us and the grandchildren that we are everything to them. I just love to see them together, my heart is so blessed by the reuniting of my parents.
My Mom - My mom is one of the strongest, independent and loving women I know. There was a time in our lives where my mom gave us everything she had to just keep our lives relatively normal. She is a very dedicated mom and grandmother and once again wife.
My Pops - My dad is a very easy going, dependable and loving man. He cares so deeply for his family that he sometimes carries our troubles on his own shoulders. My dad coached me in soccer every chance he got, even if I was a brat. Which was probably 80% of the time. He kept going and gave it his all.
My Big Sis - Growing up she HAD to take me every where! She never really complained, but instead let me hang out with her and her friends. As they years have past my sister's true colors have continued to show. She is a loving, caring, supportive and helpful mother, sister and friend. She gives so much of herself that she has even blessed to families unable to have children with beautiful set of twins. But she does stop there, she wants to do it again and coaches others to help out too. She would do anything for family or her friends. A true model.
My Bro - Since joining my family a gazillion years ago all I can say is he is awesome. He is a hard ass, but a lover. He too would do anything for a deserving person. He is a great father and outstanding Marine. My relationship with him goes way beyond just married into the family...he is my bro. And with that comes some great rivalry and hilarious conversations that no one else would understand or even think was funny.
My Lil Sis - She is a loving, caring and dedicated mom. She has a lot of health issues but she takes them in stride. She has been through a lot in her young age and still keeps going on. My little sister is patience, a soft touch with her kids, hopeful encouragement, a pillar of strength, and a heart that understands.
Brother in law - a dedicated father and solider. A loving husband. Very dedicated to his job. Makes my sister happy and that is all that matters.
My nephews - are amazing, smart, caring and very sweet. Each one of them will be successful at what ever they put their minds too. Loving boys who are very respectful to their mom's ( most of the time). My sisters have done well.
My nieces - adorable, funny, loving and energetic. Each one as headstrong as the other. Their cuteness with get them every where in life. LOL
This is just my immediate family, I could go on and on about the rest of the blessings God has put in my life in the form of my family. Each one individually is a superstar of a person and I love them dearly. I can't wait to celebrate with them all on 11/11/11.
When your life start to hit you over the head with problem after problem, sit back and count your blessings you'll see that you have many more blessings than you have problems. Try it you'll love it.
